Aloha West Florida this is the machine with the Tuesday evening Gulf surf and beach report. Latest coastal observations along the coast. Air temperature at 76°. Water temperature at 76 °. High humidity with the dew point at 70°. Currently northwest winds 10 to 11 knots on Venice Beach; Outgoing tide at 1.4 ↓ ft...(more.) Clearwater beach northwest winds 8 to 10 knots; Outgoing tide 1.8 ↓ ft...(more.) Later on across the region West winds 5 to 10 knots. First Light is at 6:25 am and Sunrise is at 6:50 am. The moon phase is Waning Gibbous at 44% illumination and next main phase is Last Quarter on 5-1.

Surf is down into the evening. Wave height 1.6 ft (S 182°) at the Egmont Channel. Dominant wave period at 5 seconds. Our long range forecasting hasn't given up on the West Florida surf scene and surf is a possibility out 13 days. The Swellmachine's 16 day surf forecast shows chances for waves on Monday 5-13 and Tuesday 5-14. Durring the 16 day forecast period, wave heights peak out around 2.9 feet at 5.65 seconds on Tuesday 5-14. Also, a chance of glassy surf with easterly winds on Tuesday 5-14.
